CONFERENCE by Stéphane Paquin
Fighting corruption effectively: Sweden as an example
The conference will be in French.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13th, 2019 6 p.m.
VENUE: ENAP, 4750, avenue Henri-Julien
Sweden is one of the countries in the world where corruption and ethical failings of elected officials and civil servants are among the lowest. The purpose of the conference is to explain why Sweden is a reference country in this field. Stéphane Paquin’s thesis is that the most important explanatory factors are not found in the laws governing the practice of lobbying or the financing of political parties, but rather in measures of public transparency and freedom of the press.
Since the first season, FIKA(S) has partnered with Stéphane Paquin, full professor at the École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP) in Montreal, Canada. As an expert of economic, social, and political matters of Nordic and Scandinavian countries.
