Montreal, October 26, 2017 – After two much appreciated editions in 2016 and 2017, the
Immersive Festival of Scandinavian Kultur and Art – FIKA(S) will be back in April 2018 with two musical events as part of Place des Arts’ Printemps nordique (Nordic Spring). From April 4 to April 29, 2018, Nordic cultures will settle at Place des Arts, where theater, contemporary opera, dance, circus, music and puppet shows will be presented.

«In 2015, when our small team of volunteers decided to launch a festival on northern and Scandinavian cultures in Montréal, we did not expect to receive such a warm welcome from the public. Nearly three years and two editions later, we find that the Nordic European countries are still as fascinating and Place des Arts’ Printemps nordique proves it once again! While FIKA(S) is a proximity festival, privileging intimate, human-sized events which gather between 50 and 100 spectators, we are very proud to make an exception in 2018 to associate with one of the major events of Montréal’s cultural life in the next year» says Christel Durand, president and festival planner.
